Why I'm here

Seeing a growing need for individualized, neuro-aware support and communication services, I trained as an ADHD Life Coach in 2024.

As a writer, editor, translator, business writing instructor, and communications coach, I'd been picking up on some concerning trends among my professional and personal networks. Perhaps you have noticed them, too. They certainly haven't shown any signs of abating.

  • Burnout seems par for the course in just about every field, despite the proliferation of apps promising faster, better workflows and productivity.

  • With digital work and entertainment environments on 24/7, time that used to be free for focused work, rest, and in-person social life has dwindled.

  • Adults as well as kids are being diagnosed with ADHD — if and when they can afford a diagnosis and have worked their way up the waiting lists. At the same time, self-diagnostic questionnaires and social media accounts dedicated to ADHD are raising awareness of the condition. As a result, many people are hanging in a kind of limbo of uncertainty.

  • Others are struggling with the symptoms of family members or colleagues who have it . . .

  •  . . . because ADHD remains an uncomfortable and often unspoken fact of life in the workplaces and many families.

In light of all this, I trained to be an ADHD coach to support those affected by ADHD symptoms, whether or not they have been diagnosed. After all, you certainly don't have to have ADHD to be plagued by drained mental resources and overwhelm!

What can we do?

As frustrating as current challenges are, I believe we can unlock our human intelligence, not just as individuals, but as families, peers, and colleagues, too.

What do you think? When we understand and appreciate human intelligence in all its variations, â€‹can we make our daily activities and environments at home and work serve our health and ambitions? Can we leave current burnout rates in our rear-view mirror?

I think we can at least move the dial in that direction by:

  • investigating our challenges with secure, confidential, professional services;

  • testing new approaches with an open, results-oriented mindset;

  • tracking, building on, and sharing our progress with our families, friends, and peers.
